This Abig Lino Cutting Set is an excellent basis for performing linocut work because it enables you, by virtue of the differently shaped blades and gouges, to make all the important kinds of cuts necessary for linocut prints (and lightweight woodcut prints as well). These sets are ideal for schools.The set contains a pear-shaped wooden handle with ejector and five different cutters: a veining tool, a U-shaped embellishing tool, 3mm and 4mm gouges and a contour cutter. The veining tool, with its small V shaped head, is great for cutting fine lines while the embellishing tool with its small U shape is there to cut thicker lines. The two gouges are used to lift out small or larger areas; the contour cutter is indispensable for pre-cutting sharp edged lines and for post-processing. The cutters are made from nickel-plated, high-grade stainless steel, and have conical shafts that fit solidly into the wooden handle. To change the cutter simply fit the ejector into the borehole at the bottom
