Plants are cropped above ground level and can be reharvested after 3-4 years. The paper is made on a laid mould of split bamboo which gives a laid pattern to the sheet. The paper is couched and dried using the Japanese teppan-kanso system, a heated stainless steel drying surface. For drawing in ink, calligraphy, printmaking. You can buy just one sheet of any one paper but overall you must buy a minimum of 10 sheets selected from any of the papers in this category.
