Lefranc Bourgeois Extra Fine Retouching Varnish allows artists to rework dried paint. It is also useful for removing sinking (matt areas) in your picture and can be used as a temporary varnish while waiting to apply the final varnish.
Lefranc Bourgeois Retouching Varnishes are available in various sizes in extra fine (with acrylic resin) and J G Vibert (with acrylic and ketone resin).
This varnish has a satin finish and penetrates into the paint without either softening or hardening it. It is very flexible, colourless and non-yellowing. This varnish should always be applied using a light scumbling technique with a soft brush. It is also suitable for glazes.
